Can I get tattooed if I’m under 18?
No, the legal age in the U.K. is 18. Parental consent for under 18’s is not legal either.
Are the tattooing inks vegan?
Yes! There aren’t many, if any at all that aren’t vegan. Here are some links to various ink brands to read up in ingredients -
Are there any health conditions that prohibit me from being tattooed?
Yes, you cannot get tattooed if you are:
Pregnant or breast feeding
suffer from seizures or any immunocompromising illnesses
We also require you get a doctor’s recommendation if you have diabetes, haemophilia, any heart condition, or are taking blood-thinning medication.
It is obligatory to inform us of any bloodborne infections or viruses you may have - this does not mean it will stop you from being tattooed.
How much does a tattoo cost?
That all depends on the tattoo! Typically, our artists work on daily or hourly rates. A full day of 6 hours will be either £450 or £500 per day or an hourly rate of £80/90 per hour. Big projects such as full back pieces, sleeves, front pieces, etc. are multiple full day sittings and an exact time frame/cost is unpredictable due to many varying factors such as the size of the limb, your ability to sit through the process, the detail in the design, etc. Smaller tattoos that are under a day may have a set price but they are centered around the time and detail of the piece itself.
What is the wait time for a tattoo?
That all depends on the artist for your piece. We are a private, appointment only studio so most of the artists are booked up for some time. Some of our artists will book for about 2-3 months in advance and build a waitlist together for when their books are open again (this is typically because they have quite a lot of big, ongoing projects that they are working on). Some of our artists may have availability within a week or two of your inquiry.
How do I prep for the day of my tattoo appointment?
Prior to the appointment, please moisturize the area you are being tattooed for about a week prior. This just preps the skin and helps make it nice and soft for tattooing - especially if you have recently been in the sun or sun beds. If you’re not already drinking plenty of water daily, please do so for the days leading up to the tattoo appointment so that your body is well hydrated. On the morning of, eat a BIG breakfast and drink plenty of fluids. When you arrive for your appointment, please make sure you have lunch and snacks with you or some money to get some during break time (there’s plenty of places around to pick up food!). We have a fridge with water, soda and chocolate that you can purchase for £1 for emergencies as well! Do not take any aspirin based medication or paracetamol as it is a blood thinner.
